Weekly Market Update 🗒️💡
Here are where the major indexes stand as of 02/07/2023.
JUNE
The S&P 500 gained 6.5% for its best monthly performance since October.
The Nasdaq increased by 6.6%. Both indexes notched a 4th consecutive positive month.
The Dow climbed 4.6% for its best month since November.
Q2
The S&P 500 rose 8.3% for a 3rd straight quarter of gains and its biggest quarterly run since the Q4 of 2021.
The Nasdaq jumped 12.8% for back-to-back positive quarters.
The Dow added 3.4% for a 3rd winning quarter.
YEAR TO DATE
The S&P 500 rose by 15.9% for its best first half since 2019.
The Nasdaq surged by 31.7%, for its best first half since 1983.
The Dow added a modest gain of 3.8%.
Capturing Dividends

You probably know that they won’t work in your favor.
If anything, you’re losing more money than you can possibly make when using their methods.

What is The DCS?
Imagine you're the main character of your favorite action movie.
Your end goal is to save yourself and your family from the Quicksand Pit of Debt.
Your mission is to collect special rewards (dividends), hidden in bad guys’ (companies) lairs.
These rewards will make you more powerful and successful in your adventure.
But to collect these special rewards, you need to be smart and strategic.
Instead of just waiting for them to fall in your lap, you’re using a specific strategy. The DCS.
This is your secret plan to outsmart the bad guys and grab their treasure before they can even react!
How does your secret plan work?
Before you start your mission, you verify the bad guys' schedule to find out when they're going to reveal the treasure.
As you know, they always announce the dividend in advance (before the “ex-dividend date”), just like when the villain brags about his evil plan.
When the announcement is live, you put on your hero gear and get ready to move.
Because you only have a short window of time to reach the treasure location and grab it.
If you’re one second too late, you lose your chance to even touch the treasure. Let alone grab it. (This is what the “ex-dividend date” is.)
Knowing your family needs you, you’re driven to make it on time. And you do.
But…
As soon as you steal the treasure (dividend)…
The bad guys realize what you've done.
You run away.
They’re right behind you.
They’re chasing you down a dark alley, firing their pistols at you, trying to snatch their treasure back.

In real life, investing and trading stocks involves real money, so it’s more complicated.
As good as The DCS sounds, applying it incorrectly will lose all your investment in the blink of an eye.
